I have a dietary restriction, what can you do for me?

Not a problem, Camp Shenanigans has gluten free, non-dairy, vegetarian and vegan food options. While we make every effort to accommodate all of our campers we do encourage you to bring some of your own provisions if you know you are very particular about your food. Please note that refrigeration and access to the camp kitchen is not available to campers.

What time does camp start and what time will it end?

Camp Shenanigans will begin at 12:00 noon on Friday and ends at 12:00 noon on Sunday

Where is Camp Shenanigans and what are my options for getting there?

If you are flying into Colorado we recommend flying to Denver International Airport which is 72 miles northeast of camp or about an hour and forty-five minute drive. There is parking at the camp if you choose to drive up yourself. A bus will be picking up campers from Highland Tavern (3400 Navajo Street Denver, CO 80211) at 10 am on Friday morning and dropping them back off at Highland Tavern at approximately 2:30 pm on Sunday. There is no extra charge to ride the bus to Camp Shenanigans. There is also a smaller airport located in Colorado Springs which is about an hour and twenty minutes away from camp. The camp is located at 8716 S Y Camp Rd, Sedalia, CO 80135

Can I arrive after the first day and what if I need to leave early?

Absolutely! Although we highly recommend taking full advantage of the camp activities and arriving on Friday, we also understand that schedules don’t always line up perfectly. Please contact us if you need a later check in and we will work to make it happen for you. If you find that you need to leave the camp early that is also not a problem but please let us know so that we do not worry about what happened to you. Also, once you leave the camp you cannot return.

What if there is an emergency?

There is no cell service at the camp due to it’s rustic location. However, there is a camp phone and access to wifi for emergency situations. We will provide all attendees with the camp phone to give to your family or friends in case of emergency.

Are there age restrictions at Camp Shenanigans?

Yes, we are a strict 21+ camp. You will not be allowed to enter camp without a valid government issued ID proving you are over the age of 21. Please make sure you bring this ID with you to camp when you arrive at registration. On the flip side, anyone 21 or older is welcome at our camp. We are all just a bunch of big kids ready to have fun! Beer pong, anyone???

Will there be wifi or cell service?

No, there will not be wifi available except in cases of emergency. We have found that cell service is generally not available in this area of the mountains.

What are the accommodations like?

You will be staying in simple, clean cabins and lodges with multiple beds and bunks in each room. The amount of beds varies but is generally between 10-20 beds in each. To all of the tall people out there, please note that the beds are about 6’ in length. When you register you will have the option to choose between the following: All female cabin, all male cabin, or a mixed gender cabin. We encourage you to go check out the photos of the cabins and facilities here. We make every effort to be inclusive for all people but please note that the camp is located in an area with very rough terrain with lots of steep hills and unpaved dirt paths. Most of the main areas of camp are ADA accessible but some locations within the camp are trickier to navigate.

Can I stay with my friends?

Sure thing, when you register please make a note of your friends who are joining you and we will do our best to place you all together.

Can I connect with other campers?

Yes, we will have an optional private facebook group for each camp so that campers can connect with each other to arrange rideshares, share photos after camp, etc…

What should I bring?

Sunscreen, beach towel, swimsuit, clothes you are ok with ruining, a camel waterpack if you have one or a water bottle, costume for the theme party, hiking/athletic shoes, bug spray, your own bedding (sheets, blanket/sleeping bag, pillow case and pillow) and a willingness to have fun! A more in-depth packing list will be sent to you via email prior to your camp.

What SHOULDN’T I bring?

Anything valuable or irreplaceable. You’ll be playing hard and getting wet and muddy. We suggest you leave expensive jewelry, grandpa’s antique pocket watch and your original Picasso home for the weekend.

What is not allowed at camp?

Camp Shenanigans kindly asks that you leave the following at home: Weapons, your non-furry children (unless they are over the age of 21), your furry children (no matter how old they are),  and any other pets. (We love tarantulas as much as the next person but not in our sleeping bags.) Please note, we do not tolerate illegal activity of any kind and if you are caught committing a crime you will be asked to leave camp on your own dime.

Is Alcohol included?

Of course! Camp Shenanigans will be providing beer, wine, and some hard liquor. Colorado is a beer lover’s paradise with over 200 established breweries throughout the state. We can’t wait to share our favorites with you! Some activities we offer are not compatible with drinking (archery anyone?) so generally the alcohol will be available later in the afternoon and early evening after the day’s activities are completed. We reserve the right to refuse service to any campers who appear to be a safety risk. We want everyone to have fun, but please keep in mind that it’s a marathon, not a sprint. Camp Shenanigans is located 6,581 feet above sea level so please make sure you are drinking a lot of water with your alcohol. A Colorado hangover is no joke and we don’t wish it on any of you!
